Since all our families are at our home for the Thanksgiving feast, they help put up the tree and decorations. After watching ballgames the rest of the day, we wait till the next day to light the lights and tune in to the Christmas music!

For me the official transition into Christmas music, lights, and other merriment is when Santa comes across the screen in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Anything before that is too early for me.

We start sprinkling in christmas music as soon as November rolls around. It goes full force the weekend after Thanksgiving when all the decorating is done as a family. Listening to it in your car without anyone knowing doesn’t count, right?

Christmas music in our house is acceptable starting in November. For us thanksgiving is the reminder to why Christmas is so special. So we get in the spirit anytime after Halloween.
In a personal setting, if it makes the person feel good…play it as desired! In a business setting, a few a day during most of December seems legit. Have to be sensitive to the fact that not everybody likes it/celebrates that way…
